New York Restaurant Week’s Best Value King | Indulging in the Burrata
📍Benjamin Steakhouse Prime A venerable steakhouse near Bryant Park,as is said it’s only available in New York and Tokyo. The Prime branch we visited has a modern renovation style. The 3-course menu for $60🔪 is a steal, the steak portion is not skimped on at all, it’s truly generous (usually, a single order of sirloin is$69, easily over $100+ Plus, they offer a Restaurant Week menu daily, and we went for Saturday dinner. 🫕Appetizer 🆓 The bread with truffle butter is delicious, but I had to restrain myself from eating too much. Italian burrata (Highly recommended!) Looks like just a chunk of ordinary cheese, but the flavor is out of this world. The combination of tomato puree, Italian black vinegar, and olive oil with the rich and creamy cheese is to die for. I even cleaned the plate. Sizzling bacon Approval from someone who doesn’t eat bacon 😝 It’s smoky and crispy, but surprisingly reminiscent of Cantonese-style cured pork. It’s like a taste of home. 🥩Main Course New York Sirloin (medium rare) We ordered it a bit undercooked as it sizzles with butter when served, allowing it to cook a bit more on the plate. It’s still a bit of luck; mine was perfect, but my friend’s was barely more than raw. The server even forgot the oil, but the dry-aged steak was super flavorful, juicy, and tender without being greasy. No sinew either, even I, with not the best teeth, found it easy to chew. 🥦Sides Creamless creamed spinach Kid-friendly taste, very aromatic! Crispy brussel sprouts (Finally understanding the white people’s food - so crispy and sweet, the balsamic vinegar is the soul of the dish. 🍰Dessert NY cheesecake Chocolate mousse cake Classic American standard, similar to Cheesecake Factory. #100RestaurantChallenge #TreasureRestaurantShare #NYCFood #NYCTravel #NewYorkWeekend #NYCRestaurantWeek #SteakHouse #FoodieDiary #FoodPLOG
