New York | SHOGUN OMAKASE
After work on Friday, I found a great Omakase that just opened near the office, so I came to check it outο½ It's located right next to Bryant Park, and overall, it can be considered very exquisite and affordable. The ingredients are quite good, and it's rare to have this kind of cost-performance ratio in this area at this price π The menu offers a choice of $100 for fifteen courses and $150 for nineteen courses. π Four appetizers π Abalone slices with pea puree β¨: A very delicate dish, sliced abalone drizzled with a sauce made from onions and garlic, and the presentation is quite ceremonial. Snow crab claw soup β¨: The smooth and tender snow crab claw is very fresh. Crab meat and roe tea bowl steamed egg β¨: The steamed egg is incredibly tender, paired with snow crab legshredded meat and bright orange salmon roe, it's a complete satisfaction! Kumamoto oyster β¨: Served with a yuzu and orange sauce, it's very refreshing. π£ Ten pieces of sushi + hand roll π£ Japanese snapper + lemon truffle salt π£: The truffle salt and lemon juice give the snapper a rich texture. Yellowtail + yuzu juice π£: The fish is plump and the addition of yuzu juice is quite refreshing. Mackerel + pickled wasabi π£ Japanese small squid π£: The skin is grilled slightly charred, elastic and sweet. Hokkaido scallop + lime zest π―: The truffle salt and lime zest highlight the freshness of the scallop itself. #GoodEatsInNewYork #HiddenGemRestaurantsInNewYork #JapaneseCuisineInManhattan #OmakaseInManhattan #NewYorkOmakase #omakase
