New York Soho🍞 Orange Almond Cakes đŸ„

This croissant spot seems pretty underrated, but the reviews are all great—people say it’s light and fresh, and the pastries look nice too. I’ve been wanting to try it for ages, but after finally tasting it
I guess everyone’s taste really is different! 😅 🍮 Raf‘s 📍 290 Elizabeth St, New York, NY 10012 It’s actually a restaurant, and it’s really cute—very cozy and chic. As soon as you walk in, you can see their baked goods displayed. đŸ„ I tried the 【orange almond croissant】—which is basically an orange 🍊 almond croissant, as the name suggests. The middle is stuffed with tons of sticky, orange-flavored almond cream. It’s super sweet and moist, so the whole croissant isn’t crispy at all. The almond flavor isn’t strong enough either—it’s totally overpowered by the orange. Overall, it’s just fruity and sweet, and with the croissant being soft (not crispy) and a bit greasy, it just wasn’t my thing. The next day at home, I popped it in the air fryer, and it started oozing oil—yikes! 😬 I didn’t get the “light” or “fresh” vibe people mentioned online. Honestly, I think it might’ve been better without all that filling. But as an almond croissant, adding orange flavor does make it unique. If you love fruity pastries, you might want to give it a try! 🍊 #NYC #NYCFood #NYC #NYCStudyAbroad #NYCDaily #NYCBread #Croissant #AlmondCroissant #NYCWeekend #NYCRestaurants
