New York Solo Dining | Two-Michelin-Starred French Lobster Burger π
π₯©I finally got around to writing a review today for a meal I had two weeks ago! π½οΈ I've decided to treat myself to a nice restaurant in NYC every Sunday, so this solo dining series will keep going. π₯ Let's dive into this restaurant experience! This time, I took advantage of Restaurant Week and visited Nougatine, a two-Michelin-starred French restaurant. Despite the lunch rush, the service was impeccable. I opted for their prix-fixe menu, which included three courses. π΄ π For the appetizer, I chose the sashimi. The portion was quite generous, with many slices! However, the fish didn't seem very flavorful, so it was just average. π£ π For the main course, I initially wanted to order the roasted chicken, but seeing a dry piece of chicken on wild rice at the next table, I went for the lobster burger instead! It turned out to be a very wise choice. π©βπ³ The patty was incredibly juicy and packed with lobster meat. The bread was fragrant, and the whole burger was satisfying without being too rich. The portion of fries was also substantial... I couldn't finish half of it by myself. π° For dessert, I had the chocolate lava cake. It was delicious! The molten chocolate paired with ice cream created a perfect contrast of hot and cold. The cake wasn't overly sweet either. π° π₯©I thought dining alone at a fine dining restaurant might feel awkward, but having a date with myself was actually quite enjoyable! Overall experience: 4/5π. The food: 3/5π. It was decent, but compared to Jean-Georges' other restaurant, The Fulton, I'd still recommend that one more. π Nougatine by Jean-Georges #NewYork π½ #NewYorkRestaurants π #WesternCuisine π₯©π
