New York Staten Island | The timeless and quaint Jixing Garden
If you’ve seen Woody Allen’s film “Wonder Wheels,” you’ll undoubtedly be impressed by this romantic garden on Staten Island. In my opinion, the New York Chinese Scholar’s Garden is also an excellent place to take the kids for a stroll. 🌿😊 Although it’s small, the garden encompasses the essence of Suzhou-style gardens with pavilions, towers, terraces, and corridors. While the kids might not grasp the concept of “a soundless poem, a three-dimensional painting” right away, subtly instilling pride in our cultural essence is a labor of love for us parents. 📚💖 After strolling through the garden, you can walk over to the Staten Island Children’s Museum for a half-day visit, making it a 100% satisfying day! 🎈🚶♀️🚶♂️ #WhatToDoInNewYork #NewYorkWithKids #NewYorkWeekend #WhereToGoOnWeekends #NewYorkHiddenGems #SuzhouGardens
