🗽Want to see the Statue of Liberty up close for free? The most cost-effective way is to take the Staten Island Ferry. 🚢 It's free for a round trip, and you can also enjoy the Manhattan skyline along the way! 🚇 Transportation 📍 Navigation: Head to Whitehall Terminal at the southernmost tip of Lower Manhattan. Next to it is The Battery, a great spot for a walk and a view of the Statue of Liberty. Subway: • R / W line → Whitehall St Station • 1 line → South Ferry Station 🏛 Ferry Process The exterior of Whitehall Terminal looks like the first picture. Once inside, take the escalator to the second floor. No need to buy a ticket. Just queue up to board the ferry. There is no ticket office. 🗽 On the ferry, it's recommended to: • Outbound: Stand on the right side of the second floor for views of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline. 🗽 • Return: Stand on the left side of the second floor. When you arrive at St. George Ferry Terminal on the other side, you must disembark, even if you're not staying.
