New York Tashkent Supermarket Halal Food 🛒
This place has a deli bar with all kinds of stewed meats, various flatbreads, baked and steamed buns, fruit tarts – even if you go there full, you’ll still feel hungry just looking at all the food! 🍔 The highlight is the hand-pulled rice at $9.9 per pound! The amount of meat they give is super generous. 🌟 🥩 There’s also a wide variety of meats and smoked fish, all at very reasonable prices. I’ll definitely come back when my freezer has more space to stock up! 🍖 The prices for fruits and vegetables are as good as those in Chinatown – two dragon fruits for just $5! I tried the golden dragon fruit and it was super sweet. If you’re making hand-pulled rice at home and want to add raisins, they have a great selection here. 🍇 🥛 They have a huge variety of Greek yogurts, including some brands I’ve never seen before. As a yogurt lover, I tried one called Kalypso. It comes in small clay pots, similar to la fermiere. The plain flavor is not too sweet, and the pots are larger, perfect for planting flowers or storage. Haha! 🌱 🍬 Near the window, there’s a wide variety of Blinchiki – creamy crepes filled with sweet cheese and other flavors. We got the plain ones, which were just the right amount of sweetness. 🥧 #NewYork 🌃🌟
