New York Tempura Experience š
šSecchu Yokota The Chinese name is quite interestingāa blend of East and West. To put it bluntly, itās a fusion of Japanese and Western styles. š Over the years, Iāve visited this place more than ten times and have become familiar with the elderly couple who run the restaurant (theyāve never paid me for advertising, by the way). šØāš³There are only six seats in total, with just one chef (the owner) and one waiter. Sometimes thereās also a front desk attendant (the ownerās wife). The atmosphere here is so special that it could almost be considered a meal in itself. š¤This was the first omakase restaurant my partner and I visited when we first started dating. Thereās another great tempura omakase place in New York, but this one focuses on being cozy. When my southern partnerās parents visited, the four of us almost had the place to ourselves. šøAll the dishesāmore than ten in totalāare prepared by the chef alone, making it perfect for those who love watching cooking performances. šBefore the tempura begins, there are 5ļøā£ small appetizers, each exquisitely crafted and telling a story of the season. #NewYork š
