New York Times Square Marriott Marquis(1)

Feelings After Staying at the New York Times Square Marriott Marquis πŸƒπŸŒΈ The hotel's location is truly impeccable, right next to Times Square, the W Hotel, and the Morgan Stanley building. Just steps away are various opera houses like the Lion King and Hamilton, and within a hundred meters, there are numerous restaurantsβ€”it's all about convenience. One of the main tasks of my trip to New York was to see Hamilton. Coupled with the hotel's 2020 renovation and its higher online ratings compared to the neighboring W Hotel, the Marriott Marquis became our top choice. πŸƒπŸŒΈ It takes about a 20-minute walk from New York's Moynihan Station to the hotel. The hotel lobby is not on the first floor; you need to take the elevator to the 8th floor to check in. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, which led me to impulsively upgrade to a room with an unbeatable Times Square view. The cost of this impulse was an extra $150 per night. πŸƒπŸŒΈ To be honest, when the elevator stopped at the 35th floor, I was a bit disappointed. The various outdated decoration styles at the elevator entrance really didn't match the so-called unbeatable view floor. As we walked through the endless corridor towards our room, we were stunned by the metal railings installed on the corridor's guardrails. πŸƒπŸŒΈ Of course, perhaps the hotel did this out of consideration for guest safety, but the feeling it gave was really hard to describe. My son said it felt like living in a prison, too oppressive, and he never wanted to stay at this hotel again. Well, Marriott Marquis! It seems like you're about to lose a Gen Z customer. πŸƒπŸŒΈ #NewYork πŸŒƒπŸŒŸ
