New York Times Square Marriott Marquis(2)

The moment we pushed open the door to our room, we completely gave up any illusions we had about it. πŸƒπŸŒΈ There was no sight of the frameless floor-to-ceiling windows we had imagined. The decor of the room and the bathroom was pretty average, quite a letdown from what we had in mind. However, when the city lights came on later, the view directly facing the Times Square screen was still pretty amazing. Yeah, that's the Manhattan vibe for you. πŸƒπŸŒΈ I have to complain about the room service though. There was no water in the room, so we called the front desk to ask for some. But after waiting for an hour, no water arrived. We called again to hurry them up, but another hour passed with still no water. I was getting a bit impatient and decided to head straight to the 8th floor to get some answers. πŸƒπŸŒΈ I saw a long line at the front desk, so I approached the bellman, a young African-American guy, and asked him if we had to wait in line for water delivery. He said yes. I explained to him that I had already called twice and waited in the room for at least two hours. With a look of sympathy, he turned around and gave me all six bottles of water they had. I felt my heart warm up again and quickly rushed upstairs to get a tip for him. I just can't stand it when someone is kind to me. πŸƒπŸŒΈ #NewYork πŸŒƒπŸŒŸ
