New York Two-Michelin-Sta | Nougatine by Jean-Georges(2)ππ
The main course, salmon, made us wonder if the chef had no sense of tasteβit was so sour it was hard to swallow. The dessert was even more of a joke. π πΈ They could have just given me a scoop of ice cream, but instead, they paired it with such an unpalatable preparation. It felt like the chef was trying really hard to innovate, but it just didn't work. π By the end, I was more amused than frustrated because I could see the chef's effort and sincerity. It's just that somehow, it all went terribly wrong, creating a taste that's hard to describe and even harder to forget. π πΈ It was so bad it made me laugh. I genuinely can't understand why a restaurant like this would join the Restaurant Week hype. I wasn't expecting a true two-Michelin-star experience, but at least something edible, right? πThere are so many other Michelin-listed restaurants participating in Restaurant Week that do a great job. Avoid this place at all costs! You'll regret it if you go. But in a weird way, this restaurant provided an "emotional value" I've never experienced before. I still don't get why their bad taste hit my funny bone, making me laugh every time I think about it. π πΈ #NewYorkMichelinTwoStars #NewYorkFrenchCuisine ππ
