❤️During breaks, he would introduce the pieces and share some witty New York-style remarks. The second set's piano was so tender it transported us to New York's golden age—a time of glamour and warmth, intoxicating and profound. I wondered, does he take the subway home? If I saw him on the train, would I recognize him as a musician? Maybe he lives in the West Village or Chelsea, but he's older now. 🌟 Perhaps he resides on the Upper East or Upper West Side. I might have seen him before, an elderly man with a slight stoop but full of character. When I see him, the subway sounds are the same as they were a hundred years ago, just another ordinary day in New York.
