🐎 New York Weekend Horseback Riding Recommendation
Beach and Forest Trails 🏝 Sharing a great place for horseback riding near New York, perfect for friends, couples, or anyone looking for a unique activity. We went on a double date with another couple, and after riding, we could explore interesting shops in BK~ ✅▫️ They offer indoor and outdoor riding lessons. We chose a 45-minute Trail Ride for $90/person and also tipped at the end. The trail takes you through forests and along the beach, with beautiful scenery, lots of flowers and plants in the woods, and a sandy beach/waterfront meadow by the sea where you can watch the waves and see cute little ducks and crabs; ✅▫️ You can walk in; we drove there on Saturday without a reservation. Payment is cash-only, but there’s an ATM inside if you don’t have any; ✅▫️ Remember to wear long pants and appropriate riding shoes! ✅▫️ Keep an eye on your belongings. If you drop something, the group won’t stop to help you pick it up, so wear clothes or pants with pockets if you’re bringing anything; ✅▫️ It’s okay if it’s your first time riding. There are about seven or eight people in the group, plus two trainers at the front and back. Once you start, the horses naturally form a line. Each horse has a different personality, and the instructors will give tips (for example, a horse named Peter Pan is a bit lazy and might lag behind, so the instructor will tell the rider to gently nudge its side to keep up) ✅▫️ Brave souls can take more photos; I was too nervous and only managed to take a couple near the end. I’m a bit afraid of heights on horseback🥲 ✅▫️ The instructors will also let the horses trot a few times. Don’t be afraid; just hold tight to the reins and handlebars 📍 Jamaica Bay Riding Academy #NorthAmericanLife #NewYorkLife #NewYorkWeekend #NewYork #NewYorkArea #NewYorkHorsebackRiding #NewYorkDailyLife #NewYorkBrooklyn
