New York Yakitori Adventure 🍖

Scallop and King Oyster Mushroom Skewers: These were amazing! The scallops have their own unique sweetness, while the mushrooms are full of juice. Together, they create a symphony of flavors that dance on your taste buds. 🦶🍄 Chicken Skin: Served last, I was feeling a bit full by then. Overall, it didn’t have a particularly strong flavor. The skin was crispy on the outside but soft and slightly chewy inside. It was good but didn’t offer any major surprises. Maybe I was just too full by then. 🍗 Main Dishes: 🌸 Chicken and Egg Donburi: The sauce is slightly sweet, perfectly complementing the chicken and egg, along with a touch of pickles. It was really tasty. 🍙 Scallion-Braised Chicken Donburi: The grilled chicken is layered with scallions, topped with a soft-boiled egg, and garnished with shiso leaves. Even as someone who isn’t a big fan of scallions, I found the mix had a unique aroma. 🍲 Desserts: 🍃 Matcha Affogato: Hot matcha poured over ice cream, mochi balls, red beans, and roasted rice. It was really delicious. If you haven’t tried it, definitely give it a shot! 🍧🍵 Matcha Mochi: Just average, similar to what you’d find in a supermarket. 🍥 Overall, it was a pretty good experience. But the shop is really small, and the service was just okay—probably because they were super busy. The prices aren’t exactly low either. 🎢 However, compared to the yakitori omakase at Tori Shin, I found this place a bit more enjoyable and worth the money. If you’re looking for a cozy spot to enjoy some drinks and chat with friends, this place fits the bill. 🍻 #NewYork #Foodie #Yakitori 🌟
