📍 New Zealand’s Southernmost Adventure Guide

If you're exploring the South Island, don’t miss this unique southern trio—Bluff, Invercargill, and Stewart Island! Though small, they offer an unforgettable experience. 🏝️ Stewart Island 🚢 Getting There: Drove 30min from Invercargill → Bluff Harbour → Took the ferry ($500 NZD roundtrip for 2). 9:45 AM departure, 3 PM return—perfect for a day trip! 🌿 Island Highlights: ✔ Surprisingly well-equipped! Has a school, library, B&Bs, and cafes (but some were closed—bring snacks!). ✔ Took a $60pp guided tour (90min bus ride + commentary)—just enough time before the ferry back! ✔ Want to see kiwi birds? There’s a Kiwi Encounter Night Tour (but requires an overnight stay). 🐚 Bluff (NZ’s Southernmost Town!) 📍 Stirling Point Famous signpost showing distances worldwide! 🌍 📍 Bluff Hill Lookout Panoramic views of the town + ocean! 🌊 🦪 Fowler’s Wild Bluff Oysters 12 freshly shucked oysters for $50—so worth it! 🛕 Invercargill (Charming & Historic!) 🏨 Stayed 2 nights—loved the vibe! 📸 Invercargill Water Tower Iconic landmark you can’t miss! ☕ Starbucks (World’s Southernmost!) Had to grab a coffee here! (P.S. There’s also the southernmost McDonald’s!) 🍽️ Food Recs: 🥢 Báhn Mi Vietnamese Street Food PHO SAVED US! 🍜 + a huge shared platter ($65 for pho + apps—chef’s kiss!). 🍝 Waxy’s Irish Pub Hearty pasta & sausages—cozy pub grub! ✨ Final Thoughts: A quirky, scenic, and delicious southern adventure! Hope this helps plan your trip! 🤍 #BluffNZ #BluffOysters #InvercargillEats #SouthernmostStarbucks #StewartIsland #NZTravel #OffTheBeatenPath #TravelDiaries
