Ngor Island, Senegal – The Place I Visited 3 Times in 2 Weeks! 🌊✨

During my two-week stay in Dakar, I somehow ended up visiting Ngor Island three times—it was just that magical! Since I was staying nearby, I could walk to the dock and hop on a boat anytime, unlike the more touristy Gorée Island (which requires ferry planning). Ngor’s quiet charm won me over—though I regret not booking a night in one of its artsy guesthouses (some even arrange speedboat transfers!). 🎨 Every corner oozes creativity: Hand-painted murals on walls Handmade wooden benches Tiny craft stalls (beaded jewelry, carvings…) 🍴 Food Adventures: I skipped the fancy seaside restaurants for a local “hole-in-the-wall” spot—a literal corner shop serving Jollof Rice with the spiciest, most addictive sauce (think Thai chili vibes 🌶️). Brought two bottles home! 🌵 Hidden Gems: The rocky backside of the island (no swimming, but dramatic waves + giant cacti with fruit!) “Lovers’ Cove” – A secret mini-beach (locals say it’s for stealthy dates 😉) Dolphin sightings (supposedly! But after 3 trips, still no luck 🐬) Why I Loved It: No crowds, just raw beauty + island time vibes. Next time? I’m staying overnight! #Senegal #Dakar #NgorIsland #OffTheBeatenPath #HiddenParadise #TravelMemories #IslandLife #Wanderlust #SeekTheUnique 🌍✈️
