NJ's Got Capybaras!!! πŸΎπŸ’•

OMG FRIENDS!! New Jersey has CAPYBARAS now! πŸŽ‰ After being completely obsessed with these chill creatures online, I discovered a zoo in NJ that has them - just 30 mins from NYC! Tickets are only 4(or8 for non-residents) - totally worth it! First impression: the zoo's environment and facilities are surprisingly nice! You can tell they really care about the animals. All the creatures looked happy and healthy, with lots of unique South American species I'd never seen before - so fascinating! 🌎 Just a short walk in and BAM - there they were! Our main targets: THE CAPYBARAS! πŸΉπŸ’– Though there were only two, they were exactly like their internet fame - staring blankly with zero cares in the world LOL, just munching grass nonstop while their little ears twitched adorably!! 😍 The zoo also has super cute tiny monkeys like Cotton-top Tamarins and Golden Lion Tamarins (literally fist-sized jumping beans!). Beyond reptiles, you can enter the parrot enclosure to see colorful birds up close (but no touching!). The mountain lion habitat with waterfalls looked amazing - one cat was chilling while another paced hungrily by the fence (looked ready to snack on children πŸ˜‚). The zoo isn't huge, but if you circle around you might get super close to animals - we even saw a JACKED horse galloping (those muscles!!). πŸ’ͺ Visited on Thursday - decent crowd (mostly kids) but PLENTY of parking! There's also a playground/carousel - perfect for families! 🎠 πŸ“Zoo: Bergen County Zoo, Paramus NJ πŸ” Search "petcapybara" online to find capy locations nationwide! #NYCFun #NewJersey #CapybaraLove #NJAdventures #ZooDay
