No Need for a Guide When Going to Las Vegas

**No Need for a Guide When Going to Las Vegas** I spent a three-day weekend in Las Vegas, and the overall vibe was very casual and relaxing. It took about a 4-hour drive from LA by car. Here’s a simple rundown of my Vegas experience covering accommodation, food, and travel tips: **🏨 Accommodation: Encore** - I stayed at Encore, and it was a great choice. - Using the "sandwich trick," I got upgraded to a higher floor with a fantastic view, perfect for gazing at the huge sphere and daydreaming. - Room service was reasonably priced and had that signature Wynn touch. - There was a breakfast credit included, which I used at the buffet. The variety was good, but the taste was just okay – nothing exceptional. Also, be prepared to wait in line. **🍽️ Dining:** - I visited two well-known restaurants, but both were just average. 1. **The X Pot** - Only family-style packages are available, with fixed prices per person, making it a bit pricey. - The portions are extremely large. The beef tartare and fried rice were decent. 2. **Hell’s Kitchen** - Reservations are a must. The ambiance is nice, with a fountain outside. - The Wellington steak was underwhelming – the crust was soft, and the meat wasn’t flavorful. - The lobster risotto, mashed potatoes, and foie gras were tasty but a bit salty. **🎰 Entertainment:** - I skipped the casino but caught Magic Mike Live. Before going, I thought, "Would a male revue be too over-the-top?" After watching it, I felt refreshed and incredibly happy. It was a great experience! I highly recommend it for everyone, especially ladies. (Seating around the stage or at the tables is good.) **🚗 Transportation:** - Vegas feels like a giant maze. Taxis can only be picked up at designated spots, which can be quite inconvenient. - Actually, many shopping areas are connected. Walking indoors or underground is faster and allows you to shop along the way. 🛍️ **☀️ Weather:** - Vegas was scorching hot – 38 degrees Celsius during the day with intense sun and dry air. - Sun protection is a must. There’s no need to pack thick clothes; even evenings are quite warm. 🔥 #Vega#lasvegas#LasVegas#lasvegasfood#encore#magicmike#thexpot hellskitchen
