The beaches around the Maryland Bay area… well, let’s just say they’re not quite the dream 😅 If you’re looking for soft, clean sand without traveling too far — Virginia Beach is a fantastic choice! The sand here is fine and clean, you can set up a cabana pretty much anywhere 🏖️☀️ — no strict rules! Plus, the overall vibe feels more relaxed and respectful. A real upgrade from my experience in South Carolina where the air was, well… you know 🌿💨 This time we stayed in an oceanfront room at Hyatt House Virginia Beach 🏨 Right on the beach — step outside and you’re on the sand! Within a 10-minute walk: tons of restaurants 🍴 Within a 15-minute drive: all kinds of supermarkets and shops 🛒 The hotel felt pretty new and was very clean. Our oceanview room faced the coastline — we were on the second floor with not-so-high views, but we could still see the breathtaking sunrise right from our balcony! 🌅 Check out — that’s exactly what we saw when we opened the door! Came here during spring break just to dig in the sand — the weather was perfect 👌 Not too hot, not too cold… great for strolls along the shore.
