Northern California's Snoopy Town Guide: Santa Rosa 🐶✨
Santa Rosa, located north of San Francisco , is where Charles M. Schulz created the beloved *Peanuts* comics! 🖌️📖 The whole town is filled with Snoopy-themed attractions , statues, and charm—perfect for a 2-day getaway . Here are the must-visit spots: 1. Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center 🏛️🎨 - Admission: $12 - Features original *Peanuts* artwork, stories, and a 2nd-floor art studio where you can craft & draw! - Kid-friendly —we followed a tutorial to make Snoopy’s red doghouse (Pic 5)! 🏠🐾 *10/10 experience!* 2. Warm Puppy Cafe ☕🍫 - Right next to the museum! Their hot cocoa with whipped cream is a must-try. 3. Redwood Empire Ice Arena ⛸️❄️ - Schulz loved skating , so this rink was built in his honor! 4. Children's Museum of Sonoma County 🧸🔬 - Didn’t visit, but great for families ! 5. Bees N Blooms 🌿🐝 - A lovely lavender farm —but closes at 4 PM , so plan ahead! 6. Railroad Square Historic District 🏘️🛍️ - Charming old-town area with shops & a visitor center. - Nimble & Finn's ice cream shop has unique lavender flavor ! 🍦💜 Where We Stayed 🏨 - Hyatt Regency (5-min walk to Railroad Square—super convenient!) Food Rec: Mi Pueblo Santa Rosa 🌮🔥 - Authentic Mexican , huge portions, ~$20/person. - Must-try: Five Street Tacos & Super Burrito —so filling! Bonus: Crab Hunting at Bodega Bay! 🦀🌊 - Location : Bodega Bay North Jetty (inside Doran Regional Park, $7 entry). - Scenic but crowded —many BBQ picnics & beachgoers. - Crabbing tip: Go deep into the jetty (hard to climb!), but we only caught one undersized crab . 🥲 - South Jetty has more crabs, but it’s 20+ mins farther —we skipped it. - Verdict: Overhyped for holidays —crabs get caught fast! #WeekendGetaway #CaliforniaTravel #SnoopyTown #BayAreaAdventures
