Chicago’s autumn 🍂 has arrived right on schedule.A fall without seeing maple leaves 🍁 just feels incomplete.When it comes to the closest spot with the most stunning maple foliage near Chicago, Holy Hill takes the crown!A day trip there and back is totally doable, but only going for the maple leaves feels a bit lacking.This time, over 30 of us friends set off together, and here’s our itinerary—guaranteed to be a wonderful fall adventure! 1⃣️ Morning: Depart Chicago and head to Lakefront Brewery, a local craft brewery in Milwaukee. Enjoy a 1-hour tour where the guide shares fun anecdotes about the brewery. The tour includes 4 drinks (beer or soft drinks), and you even get to take home a high-quality glass mug—its quality is top-notch! 🍻2⃣️ Afternoon: After lunch, head to Holy Hill for maple leaf viewing. You can climb to the top of the tower for a distant view or visit and take photos inside the church. The woods at the entrance are dense with red, yellow, and green maple leaves 🍁—absolutely stunning and perfect for photos!3⃣️ Evening: Go to China Light, a light show built in the US by a team from Sichuan, China. This year’s theme is "Underwater World." The light show offers great value for money, and the lights are incredibly beautiful—truly living up to "Made in China" standards! ✨ A Few Tips: Buy tickets for the brewery tour and light show in advance by searching their official websites. It saves time and money! The light show tickets are very popular, and it ends on October 30th—only open for about 40 days a year. Layer up!
