NYC’s Hidden Jiangzhe Cuisine Gem🫕 Simply Heavenly!
NYU area is packed with food spots—can’t try them all! Today hit a modern Jiangzhe-style restaurant—just looking at the pics tells you it’s delicious 😋 Couldn’t stop ordering favorites! 🥹 Vibe feels like a lounge—small bar on the left, moody lighting perfect for long chats 😃 📍 Yum Cha Chinese Kitchen & Bar 228 Thompson St, New York, NY 10012 🐮 Black Truffle Beef Cubes – tender, big chunks, soaked in truffle sauce—must-order! 🍄 Stone Pot Beef & Mushroom Rice – skip this and you’ll regret it! Savory sauce, mushrooms, beef—unbelievably fragrant. 🦐 Litchi Shrimp Balls – pretty presentation, crispy, juicy shrimp flavor bursts in your mouth! 🐟 Sweet & Sour “Squirrel” Fish – finally had this in the US! Crispy, sweet-tangy sauce—so good (just wish there was more meat!). 🐖 Garlic Twice-Cooked Pork – fatty pork with garlic & peppers—perfect with rice. 🐔 Kung Pao Chicken – huge portion, tender chicken, crunchy peanuts—ideal over rice. 🧈 Changsha Stinky Tofu – not my favorite (maybe too “clean” 😅). 🐔 Chicken Xiao Long Bao – juicy, soupy, delicious—four is not enough! Realized halfway—tons of locals AND foreigners love it too!
