🔥 NYC’s Hottest New Opening
The legendary José Andrés just opened Bazaar Meat in NYC on October 21—a Spanish-inspired wood-fire grill spotlighting premium cuts cooked over open flames. As a steak lover, I couldn’t resist trying their Akaushi Red Beef on opening night! 🥩 Akaushi Red Beef This Texas-born Wagyu-style beef is richly marbled and thick-cut. Dry-aged for 21 days, it keeps a natural sweetness with only a subtle aged flavor. Charred perfectly outside, tender inside—it’s smoother than typical American beef but has more texture than Japanese Wagyu. The chef aims for a unique 46°C medium-rare (though classic medium-rare is 54–57°C). Ours came out closer to rare—soft in the center but still delicious. 🥩💥 Tip: Servers will ask if you’re okay with the doneness—speak up if you prefer it differently! 📋 Menu & Pricing Note The website lists Akaushi at $115/lb, but the actual menu says $145/lb! I went with the Tasting Menu for two—it includes 1.5 lb of Akaushi plus multiple appetizers, making it a better deal. 🔄 From The Bazaar to Bazaar Meat The restaurant previously focused on Spanish-Japanese fusion. Now, it’s all about wood-fired meat—big steaks, bold flavors, and fire-kissed excellence. It even ranked #60 in the World’s Best Steak 2025 list! 🌍🏆 Whether you’re a steak enthusiast or a José Andrés fan, this place brings the heat—literally! #BazaarMeatNYC #JoséAndrés #WoodFireGrill #AkaushiSteak #NYCEats #SteakLovers #NYCRestaurants 🥩🔥
