π± NYCβs Pretty Japanese Breakfast Sets | Okonomi Manhattan
Originally a Brooklyn pop-up, Okonomi now has a permanent home in Manhattan, serving colorful, Instagram-friendly Japanese breakfast sets. We booked for 1 PM and the place was still buzzing β reservations recommended! π± Yakizakana Set (5 dishes) A visually beautiful spread with five small sides, miso soup, and rice. Includes grilled salmon, pickles, veggies, and tamagoyaki β simple, clean flavors, but more about looks than depth. π± Unadon Set (3 dishes) Grilled eel over rice β tender, boneless, and well-seasoned. The three tiny sides (egg, radish, mini cauliflower) felt more decorative than substantial. Rice portion was modest. π Bacon Egg Truffle Mazemen A dry noodle bowl with bacon, egg, and truffle (though truffle flavor was faint). Mild and inoffensive β nothing memorable. Light, fresh, and healthy-feeling β but if youβre hungry or craving bold flavors, this might leave you wanting. Great for a gentle start to the day or a pretty brunch photo. π Okonomi Manhattan β NYC π° Around $20β$30 per person #OkonomiNYC #JapaneseBreakfast #NYCBrunch #PrettyFood #HealthyEats #UnagiDon #NYCEats #LightMeal #NYCRestaurants #InstagramWorthy #NYCFoodie
