NYC|Frenchette 🍷 Old Money Vibes in the West Village
Step into Frenchette and you’re instantly transported to an era of timeless elegance. With its warm color palette, plush seating, and soft lighting, it feels like the kind of place where old-money deals were sealed or romantic dates began in classic films. Absolutely captivating! We visited thanks to a Chase credit card promotion—$75 back on a $150 spend at select restaurants (now ended)—and made the most of it! 🍳 Brouillade – $31 Scrambled eggs with snails and parsley sauce. The eggs were uniquely airy and velvety—not your typical scramble. A bit pricey, but delicious! 🍞 PÂTÉ DE CAMPAGNE – $28 Country-style pork pâté served with seriously addictive bread—toasted dark, smoky, and slathered in rich butter. We couldn’t stop eating it! 🐚 MOULES ESCABÉCHE – $16 A bite-sized appetizer featuring mussels on bread with garlic aioli. Fresh, flavorful, and a perfect start. 🐟 Swordfish – $46 Sadly underwhelming. The fish was overcooked, and the seasoning didn’t stand out. Maybe fish is just better left to Asian kitchens. 🦆 Duck Frites – $56 Crispy-skinned, tender duck with golden, crunchy fries—absolutely satisfying. 🍗 Roast Chicken (Half) – $46 Juicy, perfectly roasted chicken with creamy mashed potatoes. Crispy skin and great flavor! 🍲 Cotriade Bretone – $50 A “seafood stew” recommended by our server, but it missed the mark. No sweetness from the seafood, no wine aroma—just an odd vegetable-heavy taste. Not what we expected. 🍩 PARIS-BREST À LA PISTACHE – $20 A pistachio-filled choux pastry that drew us in. Nutty, rich, and just a touch sweet—ideal for sharing between 2–4 people. 🍫 PAVÉ AU CHOCOLAT – $18 Overly sweet chocolate cake. You can skip this one. Frenchette delivers a beautiful atmosphere and some standout dishes—especially the duck, chicken, and that unforgettable bread. Just choose wisely, and you’ll feel like old-money royalty. 👑 #FrenchetteNYC #WestVillageEats #FrenchCuisine #NYCRestaurants #OldMoneyVibes
