NYC|Kjun: Korean-Cajun Fusion – Worth the Hype?

Came with high hopes thanks to that 4.9 Google rating, but left feeling a bit… warm and underwhelmed. 🥵 The space had little AC on a hot day, which didn’t help. While the food had some bright spots, it felt more like Korean-inspired comfort food tuned for American palates. 🌿 Okra Kimchi Tangy, spicy, and pleasantly crunchy—a refreshing start! 🦑 Seafood Jjajangmyun A rich squid ink noodle dish loaded with seafood. Probably the standout of the meal! 🍙 Boudin Balls Crispy on the outside, soft inside—tasty but a bit heavy after a few bites. 🍗 Fried Chicken The chicken was tender, but the coating lacked crunch and felt tough. Sauce was nice though! 🍌 Banana Foster A sweet mashup of banana dessert and tiramisu—delicious if you have a serious sweet tooth. Overall, a creative concept with some hits, but maybe not my top pick for authentic Korean flavors. Great for something different! 🍴 Kjun 📍 154 E 39th St, New York, NY 10016 #NYCEats #KoreanFusion #CajunKorean #KjunNYC #FoodReview #NotWhatIExpected #NYCRestaurants
