NYC|Oncheon Sukiyaki & Korean Hot Pot 🍲

Tried Oncheon with two friends recently — the space is cozy and inviting, with a calm, clean vibe. 📋 How it works: Each person must order an individual hot pot or set meal. We got: Sukiyaki hot pot 🍲 Doenjang (soybean paste) hot pot 🫕 Basa fish over rice set 🐟 Crispy beef fritters as an appetizer 🥩 Plus two extra portions of beef The set meal and appetizer were tasty and well-prepared! The hot pots, though, were just okay — standard sukiyaki and doenjang flavors, nothing particularly memorable. The beef was sliced very thin, so it tended to fall apart quickly in the broth. 💰 Total for three: around $60 per person. For a weekend lunch, it was fine — but not something we’d rush back for. 💡 Tip: I’ve heard their weekday lunch sets offer better value. Might be worth checking out if you’re in the area and craving something warm and comforting! #NYCLife #NYCFood #HotPot #Sukiyaki #KoreanFoodNYC #WeekendEats #NYCOnABudget #ComfortFood #DiningInNYC
