NYC's Hottest BBQ Spots: A Meat Lover’s Review 🍖🔥

Calling all BBQ enthusiasts! I tried four of New York’s most-talked-about Korean BBQ spots — here’s the full breakdown, from top-tier flames to… well, not so much. 🥇 Howoo Korean BBQ The undisputed winner! ✨ From the elegant atmosphere to every bite — including their matcha ice cream dessert — this place delivers. The banchan (side dishes) were fresh and flavorful, and the meat quality was exceptional. The only spot I’d gladly revisit again and again. Perfect for dates or treating yourself! 🥈 Nubiani Reservations only — we visited the Midtown location. While the vibe is stylish, the flavors felt overworked. They try to get creative with ingredients and marinades, but sadly, the experiments didn’t quite land on our visit. A decent experience, but not a memorable one. 🥉 Jeong Yuk Jeom A bit of a letdown, honestly. 🫤 The meat was surprisingly tough — not sure if it was the cut or the preparation. The egg soufflé topped with cheese powder was… an interesting choice (and not in a good way). Not our favorite. 🔹 Rib No.7 We ordered à la carte here — the only spot of the four without set menus. They also didn’t serve the classic onion-based BBQ dipping sauce, which was a miss for us. The after-BBQ fried rice was tasty, but overall, it didn’t stand out. 💰 All four came to $100+ per person after tax and tip, and all offer table-side grilling service. If you’re looking for a top-tier KBBQ experience with great ambiance and incredible flavor — head straight to Howoo. Your taste buds will thank you! 🙌 #NYCBBQ #KoreanBBQ #HowooNYC #NYCFoodGuide #MeatLovers
