NYC's Little Spring Joy 🍣 | A 4.8-Star Budget Omakase Gem
Spring finally arrived in NYC — and so did my craving for fresh fish! 🐟 While shopping in SoHo, I spotted this tiny omakase spot with a 4.8-star rating and decided to give it a try. They offer two menus: 13 pieces for $69 or 16 pieces for $89 — both super affordable! From start to finish, the meal was a celebration of seafood. We began with two sashimi appetizers, one featuring salmon in a unique oolong tea soy sauce. Then came 13 pieces of nigiri — highlights included plump sweet shrimp, scallops, tuna (from lean to fatty), tender firefly squid, and even a full piece of uni at this price point! Second-to-last was foie gras with wagyu — seared beautifully and served in two generous pieces. We ended with a tuna hand roll — no filler courses like egg custard or miso soup, just pure, delicious fish throughout. 🐟 The chef was in great spirits and even gifted everyone sake 🍶. A reminder that sometimes the best days come from walking into a cozy, unplanned spot. Hope you find your own little gem this spring! #NYCEats #BudgetOmakase #SushiLover #SoHoNYC #AffordableLuxury #NYCFoodie #SpringInNYC #DateNightIdea #HiddenGem #FishFeast #NYCRestaurants
