NYC | An Elegant Kaiseki Experience

Hakubai at The Kitano New York Last week, I took my mom for a special dinner at Hakubai — a serene kaiseki restaurant hidden in the lower level of The Kitano hotel. The atmosphere was peaceful and refined, and the service was exceptionally thoughtful. 🍱✨ We enjoyed an 11-course meal, each dish beautifully presented and delicately flavorful. The attention to detail and balance in taste truly stood out — this place definitely feels like a future Michelin contender. 🌟 We couldn’t resist adding their strawberry shortcake 🍰, and it turned out to be one of the best strawberry cakes I’ve had in NYC! 🍓 Not too sweet, with a rich cream flavor and tender sponge — it was so good, I could’ve easily had three more slices! (Though after the full kaiseki spread, we were already perfectly full.) They also offer a Japanese honeydew melon cake, which we’re already planning to try next time. 🍈 If you’re looking for a graceful, unhurried dining experience with seasonal Japanese artistry, Hakubai is a wonderful choice — perfect for celebrations, quiet meals, or treating someone special. #HakubaiNYC #Kaiseki #JapaneseFineDining #NYCEats #MichelinWorthy #NYCRestaurants #StrawberryCake #FoodAndMom #UpscaleDining #HiddenGemNYC
