NYC | Gossip & "Empresses in the Palace" — Oh, and Yunnan Food! 😄

I hesitated after seeing mixed reviews, but @K1ON's post convinced me: this place is anything but boring! Food Highlights 🍲 — Perfect for winter with its comforting soups and unique flavors: 🧈 Fried Silken Tofu Rare in NYC! Crispy outside, tender inside, with rich bean aroma—a must-order appetizer. 🍖 Crispy Mint Ribs Fried to perfection, best paired with the clay pot rice. Eat while hot—it gets oily as it cools. 🥓 Pork Neck Possibly NYC's best—chewy, lean, and flavorful with savory sauce and chili powder. 🍲 Beef Stew Soup Hearty beef chunks in a rich, mint-infused broth. A bit salty, but deeply satisfying. 🍚 Clay Pot Potato & Ham Rice Full of wok breath—carbs on carbs, simply irresistible. Neighbors asked what we ordered! 🍜 "Black Three Chop" Rice Noodles Minced pork, peppers, and preserved vegetables over slippery noodles—so addictive! 🐓 Steam Pot Chicken Soup Warms you right up. We asked for less oil (could still be lighter). Vibes & Fun 🎭 Filled with students chatting about exams, jobs, trips—and of course, dating drama 👂. Eavesdropping is inevitable! A TV plays Empresses in the Palace—specifically the iconic "blood test" scene (Episode 63). Only in NYC would you find a restaurant this entertaining 📺. 📍 South of the Clouds 16W 8th St, New York, NY 10011 #NYC #NYCFood #YunnanFood #NYUEats #NYCRestaurants #AsianCuisine #NYCDining #FoodAndFun
