NYC | Wayan – A Taste of Modern Indonesian Flavors 🍴🌿
This summer, I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and diving into new Southeast Asian flavors—starting with Wayan, an Indonesian-inspired restaurant in Soho that beautifully blends tradition with creative fusion. And wow, what an exciting culinary experience it turned out to be! ✨ Here’s what we tried: 🐌 Escargot Rendang A bold and aromatic twist on classic rendang—tender snails simmered in rich, spiced coconut curry. Unforgettable! The garlic-infused sauce is so good, you’ll want to wipe it clean with bread. A must-order! 🍞 🍢 Combination Satays Skewers of perfectly grilled meat served with a creamy peanut sauce. Juicy, smoky, and deeply satisfying. 🍜 Lobster Noodles Generous chunks of lobster tossed with egg noodles in a savory, umami-packed broth. Luxurious yet comforting. 🍨 Banana Sundae A delightful dessert featuring caramelized bananas, coconut ice cream, and crispy crumbs. Sweet, creamy, and the perfect ending. While some dishes may sound familiar, the flavors at Wayan feel fresh and inventive—less traditional, more modern interpretation. Every bite was a new discovery! 🌟 If you're looking to explore vibrant, thoughtfully crafted Indonesian-inspired cuisine in a chic Soho setting, don’t miss this gem. #NYCFood #WayanNYC #IndonesianCuisine #SohoEats #NYCDining
