In the basement of the World Trade Center Oculus, I stumbled upon The Strangers Project—a tiny exhibition space wallpapered with handwritten notes from people across the globe. 🌎✍️ Each scrap of paper holds an anonymous story: A child’s first brave moment wearing a dress 👗 An 80-year-old’s reflections on love and regret 👵💔 Secret battles with depression, or joy after life-changing decisions 🌈 Fleeting New York moments—sunset on 5th Ave, a subway stranger’s smile 🚇 The handwriting varies, the tales diverge, but the emotions connect us all. Reading them, I felt like I’d grasped a stranger’s hand through the page. 🤝 I imagined the writers—ordinary New Yorkers rushing to work or dates—pausing here to leave a piece of their soul.
