NYC Brunch|At Ruby's, the Best Thing Was the Fries 🍟
When it comes to NYC brunch spots, Ruby’s is definitely a big name. Weekends usually mean long lines, but we went on a weekday evening—plenty of seats. 🍴 Little Ruby’s 📍 Multiple locations in NYC Honest take: I was underwhelmed. Personally, I prefer Dudley’s (from the same group). 🍝 Shrimp Linguine – Light cream sauce, mild flavor. The shrimp didn’t stand out, and the dish felt plain yet heavy after a while. Noodles were more moist than Dudley’s version. 🍝 Ruby’s Ragu – Creamy, tender braised beef ragu with chewy pasta. Enjoyable but rich—got a bit腻 toward the end. 🥬 Crispy Brussels Sprouts – Not crispy at all. Savory with a touch of acidity—flavor was nice, texture wasn’t. 🍟 Truffle Fries – Thin-cut fries served with truffle aioli. My friend’s favorite of the night—crispy and well-seasoned. I still prefer thick-cut fries, though. Overall, nothing really wowed me. Maybe it’s just my taste, since Ruby’s remains super popular. For similar vibes, I’d pick Dudley’s—their shrimp pasta hits the spot better for me. #NYC #Foodie #FoodLife #NYCRestaurants #Brunch #NYCBrunch #NYCExploration #NYCWeekend #EatNYC #Pasta #BrunchReview #NYCEats #RubyNYC #NotImpressed
