NYC Chinese Spot… Why Are All These Foreigners Waiting? 😱
Tried Fan Szechuan in Chinatown for their “Imperial” series—decent experience, not mind-blowing but not bad either~ When I walked in, almost thought I was in the wrong place—over 80% foreigners! Decor is classic Chinese, tables well-spaced, clean and neat. Good for family meals or group hangs. Service was okay—dishes came at a decent pace, staff friendly despite small communication gaps. 🐖 Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings – crispy outside, firm filling, nice with vinegar. 🍜 Chengdu Cold Noodles – spicy but balanced, saucy & perfect for summer. 🍚 House Fried Rice (chicken, shrimp, beef) – generous ingredients, fluffy & not oily. 🐔 Crispy Pepper Chicken – slightly spicy, tender, goes great with rice. 🦆 Imperial Roast Duck – crispy skin, tender meat, classic flavor with scallion & sauce. 🍆 Crispy Eggplant Sticks – pleasantly crispy outside, soft inside—a favorite! 🍸 Blue Hawaii & Egg Roll – pretty plating, lightly sweet, nice end to the meal. Overall, prices match portions, environment is stable~ Not amazing, but reliable. If you’re nearby and want solid Chinese food in a clean setting, this works~ 📍 Fan Szechuan #NYCFood #ChinatownNYC #ChineseFood #NYCRestaurants #SzechuanCuisine #NYCEats #ComfortFood #GroupDining #HiddenGem #ManhattanEats
