NYC East Village | Hotspot Review: Mountain House Sichuan Cuisine ๐ถ๏ธ
๐ Mountain House 23 St Marks Pl, New York, NY 10003 Tried walking in twice before โ was quoted an hour wait both times ๐ฎโ๐จ โ but finally made it thanks to a reservation! ๐ This popular Sichuan restaurant has locations in Times Square and Flushing too, with prices around $50 per person. Hereโs what we ordered: ๐ถ๏ธ Xiaomijiao Loving Little Rooster โญโญโญโญ A signature stir-fried chicken dish. We went for mild spice โ tender meat, balanced heat, definitely a win! ๐ฅ Drying Meat Over the Rack โญโญโญ Visually striking (great for photos!), but flavor-wise? Pretty standard. An Instagram star, but not a must-order for taste. ๐ Beef & Porcini Mushroom Rice โญโญโญโญโญ My favorite! Loaded with savory beef and fragrant mushrooms โ so satisfying and full of umami. ๐ฅฌ Stir-fried Water Spinach โญโญโญ Simple, fresh, and well-cooked โ a reliable veggie side. ๐ Mountain Peach Rice Drink โญโญ Way too sweet for my taste โ wouldnโt recommend unless you have a serious sweet tooth. A solid spot for flavorful Sichuan eats โ just remember to book ahead or prepare to wait! ๐ซ๐ฅ #NYCSichuanFood #MountainHouseNYC #EastVillageEats #SpicyLovers #NYURestaurants
