NYC East Village Hidden Gem: A Cozy Vietnamese Spot 🍜

📍 Nón Lá 128 E 4th St, New York, NY 10003 A friend brought me to this family-run Vietnamese eatery — small, unassuming, and full of heart. We started with: 🥗 Beef & Watercress Salad – Sweet and savory, light and refreshing 🍚 Steamed Rice Rolls – Think chewy rice sheets with crispy filling — almost like a Vietnamese version of cheung fun! By this point, we were already surprisingly full. Then came the star: 🍜 Bun Bo Hue – Not your typical pho! This spicy-sour noodle soup is loaded with tender pork knuckle, beef tendon, sliced beef, and meatballs. Rich, comforting, and seriously generous with toppings. Nothing mind-blowing, but sometimes you don’t need fireworks — just a warm, honest bowl that feels like a hug. Perfect for a low-key, comforting meal. #NónLáNYC #EastVillageEats #VietnameseFood #ComfortFoodNYC #HiddenGemNYC
