NYC Food|3-Cent Skewers, So Much Joy! 🎉
The hotter it gets, the more I crave hotpot and skewers—there’s nothing like sweating it out over a spicy meal. This was my first skewer hotpot experience in NYC, and I’m so glad I found this gem! 🍢 Skewers: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I went for a split pot—spicy and tomato (bone broth is also available). The broth was decent, especially for just over $10. The skewers are a steal at 3 cents each! I grabbed a big handful, and it came to less than $10. Choices range from beef and meatballs to seafood and veggies—almost all were tasty. Filling up a bucket of skewers is weirdly satisfying! Must-tries: chicken gizzard, cilantro beef, pickled pepper beef, and fish balls. Dip them in spicy oil for extra flavor! 🥘 Other Dishes: We also ordered plates like fried tofu rolls, duck blood, tofu skin, and greens—all under $10. The duck blood was incredibly tender and fresh! 🍽 Snacks: Duck Intestine: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thin, crisp, and cooked in just 10–15 seconds. The MVP! Crispy Fried Pork: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Crunchy outside, tender inside. Perfect on its own or in the broth. Grilled Large Intestine: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Crispy-edged, chewy, and lightly spiced—great with beer! Cold Skin Noodles: ⭐⭐ Skip it. The noodles were thick, lacking spice, and too garlicky. 🧃 Drinks: Beijing Yogurt: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Served in a cute lightbulb jar—super Instagrammable and refreshing! Soju: ⭐⭐⭐ The grape flavor is a safe bet. 💡 Tips: Staff are attentive, offering aprons and straws. No parking at the door, but free lots are nearby.
