NYC Food - Xie Bao Crabhouse 🦀
The most satisfying meal of my New York trip was undoubtedly this one—proving once again that nothing beats great Chinese food! 👍🏻 I visited the Manhattan location—a compact but incredibly popular spot. Highly recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends! 📅 🦀 Crab Roe Noodles This bowl blew me away! The noodles were generously covered with a rich, velvety layer of crab roe—every bite was pure luxury. The roe was sweet, fresh, and not greasy at all. Once mixed, each strand of noodle soaked up the savory, umami-packed sauce. Honestly, one bowl wasn’t enough—I could have eaten two! 🤤 ✨ Crab Roe & Pork Soup Dumplings Soup dumplings are truly the best! The wrappers were thin yet sturdy—no breaking when lifted. With the first bite, a burst of hot, fragrant broth rushed out. The flavor of crab roe came through first, followed by the natural sweetness of the pork. The filling was generously packed with crab roe, making each dumpling incredibly flavorful. Best enjoyed steaming hot! 🧡 The wontons were decent but nothing extraordinary, and the sticky rice dumplings (zongzi) were skippable—I’d recommend trying other dishes instead. However, the complimentary side dish of wood ear mushrooms was absolutely delicious and refreshing! 💯 Another day, another reason to be jealous of my friends living in New York… 🥹 #NYCFood #NYCChineseFood #NYCRestaurantReview #WhatToEatInNYC #NYCEats #NYCLife #NYCFoodie
