NYC Food Diary 01|Uzuki in Brooklyn 🍜✨
After moving to New York, I kept seeing Uzuki pop up in food videos — known for their handmade soba noodles. I finally had the chance to visit after trying Sobaya recently, and I’m so glad I did! Personally, I really enjoyed it — and a big reason was the amazing starters that kicked off the meal. 😊 🥗 Starters 🔥 HONKUZU SOBA NERI TOFU — First time trying soba‑based tofu. The texture was sticky, smooth, and really unique. Definitely recommend! 🔥 RED TOSAKA YUZU SALAD — Loved the strong yuzu flavor here — bright, citrusy, and refreshing. This dish alone made me think, “Okay, this place is good!” 😂 ❌ UNI DUCK UMAMI CUCUMBER — Not a fan. Tasted like minced meat stir‑fried with cucumber — you can skip this one. 🍜 Soba Noodles 🔥 DELUXE SASHIMI SOBA (Cold) — After having hot soba last time (which softens quickly), I opted for cold this time. The uni and sashimi were fresh, clean, and not fishy at all. ❤️ DUCK SHIO SOBA (Hot) — My friend ordered this and said it was delicious. The broth I tried was flavorful, though I didn’t have enough to give a full review! 🍦 Desserts 🔥 SOBA MATCHA PARFAIT — My favorite! Loved the Madeleine cookies and dates paired with matcha ice cream. So satisfying! 🔥 SOBA ICE CREAM — Simpler in flavor, but the crunchy soba seeds added a nice texture that I really enjoyed. We were a party of three, and our ratings were 9, 9.5, and my 10 lol. Overall, highly recommended — especially the cold soba! It’s on the pricier side, but worth trying at least once. The interior is serene and beautiful, and the hallway displays cups handmade by the chef. In fact, our server mentioned that all the tea cups and bowls in the restaurant are crafted by the chef. 🍶❤️ Planning to share more food adventures in video form soon — stay tuned!
