NYC Ice Cream | A Pop-Up I Hope Becomes Permanent 🍦

Probably the latest review online for @^s kitchen🍞’s pop-up! My procrastination is incurable 🧎‍♀️. My feelings match the title: my friend and I kept sighing while eating, “This is so delicious… if only we could have it regularly…” . 🍍 Pineapple Salted Egg Yolk Honestly, I don’t get the recent wave of sadness over Morgenstern’s closing—this is way better. Salted egg yolk is just something Asians do best, period. ☕️ Hazelnut Coffee A classic duo of gelato flavors combined—bitter and sweet perfectly balanced. The dark chocolate flakes on top are rich and decadent. Loved it. 🍬 Black Tea Caramel Cookie The sweetest of all flavors. Would definitely hit the spot during a sugar craving, though it paled slightly next to the pineapple salted egg yolk (which was just too good). ♥️ Persimmon & Ground Cherry Sorbet Tied for first place with pineapple salted egg yolk. Tasted exactly like frozen persimmons—even the sandy-sweet texture was spot-on. As someone too hesitant to buy persimmons in the U.S., this nearly moved me to tears… 🍇 “Juicy Grape” Creamier and smoother than a pure grape sorbet (not exactly “grape in its purest form”). The crunchy bits sprinkled on top added a fun texture too. 🍅 Honey Oolong Tomato Sorbet The most niche flavor (my friends silently left this one for me 😂). Also the lightest—perfect for cooling off in summer, though a bit too chilly for this season. Topped with a honey-preserved cherry tomato—so tasty 😋. . Not a single disappointing flavor—each was distinct, natural, and incredibly smooth. We arrived around 1:40 PM to avoid lines… but still ended up waiting. Got our cups about 45 minutes after opening. Thankfully, all flavors were available, so we happily put together two cups with three flavors each! Portions were generous—great value for NYC. Will definitely support future pop-ups and look forward to more creative flavors! Also, ^s kitchen🍞 is adorable 🫶. P.S. Ando was full, so we took our cups to the newly opened Vietnamese café Kinhfolk a block away. The interior is stylish, coffee is great, and their pastries are by Korean dessert studio uju.studios—might share more about it later! #NYCIceCream #IceCreamInWinter #NYCPopUp #WeekendVibesNYC #GelatoLove #FoodieFinds #NYCFoodScene #SupportSmallBusiness #DessertHeaven
