NYC in One Day: How We Almost Missed Our Flight 😅

A whirlwind classic NYC tour — with all the chaos included! 🛄 Baggage Surprise: Left luggage at $35/day per item — our trip’s most expensive “souvenir.” 💸 🚇 Transport Confusion: Took Airtrain → LIRR → subway. Signs were confusing — we missed paying for LIRR and had to buy $14 tickets onboard (price varied from what we’d read!). Apple Pay failed, but one credit card worked for two people. 🏙️ Classic Landmarks Sprint: Times Square (daytime = less dazzling) Empire State Building — worth the view! NYC looked like tiny building blocks from above. 🏙️ Trinity Church — main hall closed for holiday decor Wall Street — almost missed the Fearless Girl statue! Took a vintage-style newspaper photo nearby. 📰 Statue of Liberty via Staten Island Ferry — free, but windy, cold, and time-consuming. Nearly missed our flight because of the wait! ⛴️ Brooklyn Bridge — arrived after sunset. The lit-up bridge was absolutely cinematic! 🌉 ✈️ The 10-Minute Airport Dash: JFK on a Saturday night = endless security lines. After 2 hours barely moving, some frantic passengers got staff to open a new line. We sprinted and made it just in time — 10 mins later would’ve meant sleeping at the airport! 🏃‍♀️💨 An unforgettable, chaotic, and very New York kind of day. #NYC #NYCDayTrip #TravelChaos #NYCLandmarks #AlmostMissedFlight #Adventure
