Jungsik’s New Southeast Asian Restaurant SEA 🌟 🌸 Jungsik’s newly opened Southeast Asian restaurant, SEA, located in K-town, has already become a hot spot despite only opening last week! It’s already fully booked, so I had to set a Resy alert to snag a mid-week slot. 🌇 🍃 It seems like there’s not much buzz about this place on social media yet, so I decided to share my experience. I was initially skeptical about Jungsik, known for its Korean cuisine, branching out into Southeast Asian flavors. But let me tell you, this meal was full of delightful surprises! I ordered four dishes, and each one was incredibly tasty. 🌊 Fried Shrimp Rolls 🍃Served with fish sauce and fresh lettuce, which perfectly balanced the greasiness of the fried rolls. The shrimp was super bouncy, making for a great start to the meal. 🦐 Crab Fried Rice 🎢 This has to be the most beautifully plated crab fried rice I’ve ever seen. It looks like a simple bowl of rice topped with a pretty fried egg and crab meat. But the rice itself is full of wok hei (that smoky, charred flavor) without being too oily. 🍃The accompanying chili has a nice aroma without overpowering spiciness, making it perfect even for those who don’t eat spicy food. 🍔 #NewYork 🌇🌟
