NYC Restaurant Week|Huge Portions, $30 Spanish Paella
I never miss Restaurant Week—not always a huge discount, but a great excuse to try new spots. My friend and I both love paella and tapas, so we headed straight here when we saw it on the RW menu. 🍴 Socarrat Paella Bar - Midtown East 📍 953 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10022 Note: Only the Midtown location offers lunch during RW! Lunch is $30, dinner $45 (adds dessert). We were a group of four and ordered all the starters (except salad) plus two paellas: 🥬 Brussels Sprouts – Lightly tangy, nicely charred. 🦐 Garlic Shrimp – Okay but not garlicky enough. Six shrimp per order. 🧀 Croquetas – Crispy outside, creamy inside (vegetarian filling). Could’ve used mushrooms or ham for more flavor. 🍚 Classic Seafood Paella – Their signature, with chicken. Tasty but too salty. 🦑 Squid Ink Paella – Less loaded with toppings, but seasoning was better balanced. Overall, Socarrat is one of the few RW deals where you’ll definitely leave full! Great for sharing with friends to try multiple tapas and paellas. #HiddenGem #RestaurantRec #Foodie #FoodLife #NYCRestaurantWeek #NYCRestaurants #NYC #NYCLife #NYCFood #NYCExploration #FoodReview #SpanishFood #Paella #MidtownEats #NYCEats #RestaurantWeekDeal
