NYC Soho|Middle Eastern Restaurant【Shuka】Not for Me ❌
I generally enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine, so I was excited to try Shuka—especially for their pistachio dip. 🍴 Shuka 📍 38 MacDougal St, New York, NY 10012 🥜 Whipped Feta + Pistachio – Bright green, packed with pistachio bits, but very thick and dry. Strong lemon and cilantro flavor. Served with dense, dry flatbread—not my preferred texture. 🧆 Falafel – My first try, but too dense and dry for me. Very compact and heavy. 🥩 Niman Ranch Sirloin Steak – A popular pick online, but disappointing. The steak was charred to bitterness and lacked flavor. The halloumi cheese on the side was tasty, though. Overall, Shuka has a nice vibe and is clearly popular, but the dishes didn’t align with my taste preferences. #RestaurantRec #Cuisine #MiddleEasternFood #MiddleEasternCuisine #NYC #NYCExploration #NYCFood #NYCWeekend #NYCStudent #Soho #NYCSoho #SohoEats #MediterraneanRestaurant #NYCEats #NotMyStyle
