NYC Soho đ Orange Almond Croissant đ„
This croissant spot feels pretty under-the-radarânot many posts about it online, but those whoâve tried it often call it ârefreshingâ and âwell-balanced.â I was drawn in by the pretty looks and unique flavor⊠but after tasting it, I was reminded that taste really is subjective! đ đŽ Rafâs đ 290 Elizabeth St, New York, NY 10012 Itâs actually a full-service restaurant with a chic, cozy vibe. Their bakery selection is displayed right near the entrance. đ„ Orange Almond Croissant This is essentially an orange-infused almond croissant. The center is filled with a thick, sticky orange-almond pasteâvery sweet and moist, which unfortunately makes the croissant lose its crispness. The almond flavor felt muted, overshadowed by the strong citrus notes. Overall, it leaned sweet and fruity, with a slightly greasy texture that didnât quite win me over. I tried reheating it in the air fryer the next day, and yes⊠it got very oily. I didnât really get the âlight and refreshingâ vibe others describedâpersonally, I think Iâd prefer it without the filling. That said, the orange twist does make it stand out from typical almond croissants. If you love fruity pastries, it might be worth a try! #NYCExploration #NYCFood #NYC #NYCStudent #NYCLife #NYCBakery #Croissant #AlmondCroissant #NYCWeekend #NYCRestaurants #RafsNYC #PastryReview #SweetToothNYC #BakeryVisit
