I stopped by the Starbucks Reserve near Chelsea today and spotted their new seasonal special: Fig Walnut Ricotta Toast — and since I love every ingredient listed, I had to try it! It’s a pretty generous portion, and honestly, priced better than most ricotta toasts you’d find at brunch spots. The sourdough is sliced just right—though the menu says it's toasted, I didn’t really notice much crispness. The fig jam and ricotta are spread so thick, the bread almost bends under the weight! 🍞✨ The jam is loaded with real fig pieces. At first bite, it felt a tad sweet, but once paired with the light ricotta, the sweetness balanced out nicely—just like natural fig flavor. The ricotta is milder and less creamy than store-bought versions, making it surprisingly refreshing—perfect for hot days. A sprinkle of sea salt on top adds little bursts of flavor that keep every bite interesting. Overall, I’d totally recommend this!
