NYC Wayan 🌊
🍌🍨Banana Sundae: I was super excited about this before I went. It looks amazing! The bananas are caramelized with a beautiful golden layer, and the banana cake is really solid. Paired with taro ice cream, the texture is just wonderful. The two rich flavors intertwine, but it’s not at all cloying. 🍓 The chef seems to really like using white spherical dishware. When you get to the end of the dish, you have to stick your head in to see if you’ve finished it all... 🍃 📃When I was ordering, I was drooling just looking at the names of the dishes. But when I actually tasted them, they didn’t quite meet my expectations, though it wasn’t a rip-off or anything. The portions are a bit small. Two people would still be left wanting more and not quite full. 🥪 🍃 The entrance is black, which can be easily overlooked when you’re looking for it. But the interior decoration is really exotic and stylish. It has a lot of character! 🌺 Wayan is Cédric’s first attempt at opening a restaurant on Man Island. I personally think it’s just okay. There’s definitely room for improvement. 🌟 🍃 Does anyone know any other delicious Indonesian restaurants in New York? 🙋 #NewYorkTravel #NewYorkLife 🌇🌿
