October at Bear Mountain ๐
In October, Bear Mountain is a perfect place to enjoy the autumn scenery. ๐๐ธ The colorful maple leaves are reflected in the lake, making it look like a beautiful oil painting. We took the Hessian Lake Loop and Perkins Memorial Tower hiking trails. Our dog had so much fun running around on the autumn pathsโit was so heartwarming! ๐ถ ๐๐ธ Perkins Memorial Tower: I highly recommend driving directly here. You can overlook the entire autumn landscape from this spot, and the view is absolutely stunning! And guess what? Parking is free! ๐ Hessian Lake: Take a leisurely walk around the lake. The maple leaves are reflected in the water, and the whole scene is filled with the colors of autumn. It's perfect for walking your dog and taking photos! ๐ธ ๐๐ธ The parking fee is $10. However, you can walk 1.5 miles from Perkins Memorial Tower to Hessian Lake. This way, you save money and get some exerciseโit's a win-win! ๐ถโโ๏ธ Tip: The maple leaf season at Bear Mountain is almost over! If you plan to visit, come as early as possible! Also, it's the Jewish holiday of Sukkot right now, and many Jewish families are enjoying the autumn together, which adds a unique atmosphere to the experience. ๐ ๐๐ธ #NewYorkSurroundings #NewYorkLife ๐
