Old Church Art Exhibit is Here! Perfect for Photos!

Last year, I attended a concert at an old church in Harbin šŸŽ¼, and now I’m here at Amsterdam’s Oude Kerk for a modern art exhibit. It’s truly a unique experience! Upon entering, I received two booklets: one for the Oude Kerk and one for the art exhibit. ā›Ŗļø Oude Kerk is Amsterdam’s oldest church, built in 1306. It has Europe’s largest medieval wooden vaulted roof, with Estonian wood dating back to 1390. Its acoustics are top-notch, making it a frequent venue for concerts by groups like the BBC Singers and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. The church doubles as an art museum, and the exhibitions blend perfectly with the sacred atmosphere. The massive drapery at the entrance, viewed from different angles, adds a mysterious vibe to the church. Sunlight streaming through makes it even more enchanting, reminding me of a bishop’s cloak. ā˜€ļø Two standout installations caught my attention: ā€œThe Pebble Path,ā€ where walking along, you hear the sound of stones 🪨🪨 colliding. At the end, you can take a card and two pebbles—the card says, ā€œTwo stones clashing brings luck and happiness.ā€ There’s also a mysterious ā€œBlack Holeā€; stand in the right spot, and you’ll experience the essence of another universe! 🌌 Don’t worry about missing any hidden gems, as you can borrow a free audio guide at the entrance. Just touch the audio markers at each spot for explanations. This historic church exceeded all my expectations! #ShortVacayLongHappiness #Netherlands #AmsterdamArtExhibit #ArtLover #LifeIsRomantic #CaptureTheMoment #ArtAndDesign #HistoricArchitecture
